Choke On My Love

by jaybyday on April 22, 2014

Originally, I was planning on doing a monthly favourites post but decided to postpone that because I can no longer contain my latest obsession with the one and only, choker necklace - only a little more *er* ..updated.. than the traditional 90′s version. Although their high-necked-form may be a little daunting to some, it adds more depth and edge than any spike or stud could, while maintaining a classic look with a minimal finish. NYFW: Tibi Fall 2014 Runway

by jaybyday on April 5, 2014

Tibi’s Fall Ready-to-Wear 2014 Collection debuted at Pier 59 Studios in Chelsea during New York Fashion Week. The studio space was dim with an architectural structure illuminated in the corner, columns resembling a modern day Parthenon. The models intertwined between the foundation before heading down a diamond shaped runway, sectioned off into two triangular catwalks. [click to continue…]

Big Apple Business

by jaybyday on March 5, 2014

As promised, here is my recap of my recent weekend trip to New York. Yes, I took every chance at saying I was there “on business” that I could get while trying to contain the eight-year-old in me.

Update: Hibernation & NYFW

by jaybyday on February 7, 2014

It’s literally been four months since I last wrote a piece or left any  sort of comment on my whereabouts…not that this really matters to anyone but myself but it’s quite surprising how much guilt and neglect one can feel when they’ve simply put something aside or on hold. I had never really wanted to label myself as a “blogger”; my intent was to use this platform to promote my writing for free, essentially. [click to continue…]

Ferragamo, a man notoriously known for his luxe Italian goods and innovative designs (i.e. the caged heel), developed his image with continuous help from Hollywood’s Starlets. Since leaving us in the time of 60s mod, the brand has since continued on with this deep fascination for the limelight. This week, it was revealed that the label is releasing eight bi-weekly episodes, [click to continue…]

‘Nail’ed It

by jaybyday on August 14, 2013

Dare I say it? …August is almost over, and I have yet to showcase the beauty products I’ve been lusting over all summer. I realize it comes a little late, but with today’s unexpected chill, I figured it was due before time outran me. Consider this post a ‘Summer Favourites’ to excuse my unpunctual timing. Designer Profile: Adeam Fall/Winter 2013

by jaybyday on August 7, 2013

After showing for the first time at New York Fashion Week this past February, designer Hanako Maeda, has cast her mystical allure over onlookers. Born and raised in Japan, Hanako moved to the big city of NYC at the young age of 5. Despite her youthful mannerisms, Hanako proposed an interest in fashion design after observing her parents craft their ready-to-wear line, Foxey. We’ve been slammed with festival style posts all summer, regarding ‘what to wear’ and ‘how to wear it’ at the tents this summer. Being Canadian, this summer for my first music festival I opted for Osheaga; a three day music festival in Montreal, QC. [click to continue…]
